Hello All I'm heading down south next week (if the snow clears and I get off the station!) for another exhibition, tall tales, at the Fusion Gallery & Studio. I would love it if you could join me on the opening Night, Friday August 26, 7.30pm onwards. This year I have more Merino's, which were the star of the show last year, some charcoal sketches of daily life on the station, more birds and other high country animals, and some rustic 'manly' paintings for something a bit different! Pass on the invite to anyone you think maybe interested, and feel free to bring others along. Drinks and nibbles will be provided. If you can't make it not to worry, call in some time when you are passing through, Fusion Gallery is open Wednesday to Saturday, 11am - 3pm, and my exhibition will run through until September 20th. Fusion Gallery & Studio, 41 Diana Street, Lumsden

I recently held a joint exhibition with Lynne Iggulden at Terrace Downs Resort, Mt Hutt. It was a fantastic opening night with gorgeous food, entertainment, company and of course artwork. I recieved some fabulous feedback and managed to sell a few paintings too, which makes it all worth while! Thanks Terrace Downs, Lynne and Rachael Inch for a great event!
All my exhibition paintings can be viewed in the Rural Connections gallery, click Gallery above.

My first solo exhibition - Shifting the Breaks
Fusion Gallery & Studio - 4th - 12th August, 2010.

Welcome to my website. My name is Amy Preston and I’m an artist living on a High Country Station with my partner in North Canterbury, NZ. To put it simply I love to draw and paint many of things; people, animals, buildings and vehicles. Art has always been my big passion, but for years I've felt I lack my own personal 'style'. However I feel I am now getting there, the more I create, the more my own style seems to shine through. Please take a look through my website, and follow my art page on facebook too - search Amy Preston Artist to find me. I would love to hear from you!
